Image Encryption
Encrypt images with AES-256-GCM and a password, or decrypt your encrypted image files locally.
Image encrypter
Protect or restore an image using a password.
Upload an image
JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF, SVG and other image formats
Maximum file size: 250.0 MB
AES-256-GCM
Authenticated encryption protects the image contents and detects unauthorized modification.
Password-derived key
PBKDF2-SHA-256 derives the encryption key using a unique random salt.
No recompression
The original file bytes are encrypted directly and restored unchanged after decryption.
Security note
Your password is never stored or uploaded. Losing the password means the encrypted image cannot be recovered. New encrypted files also authenticate their metadata, so modifying the container causes decryption to fail.
Encryption and decryption happen entirely inside your browser.
